Micromax enters Personal Computing market with the launch of new Canvas LapTab with Windows 8.1 - upgradable to Windows 10

Micromax at CES 2014 showcased a new hybrid of Laptop (LapTab) with dual bootable OS that is both Android and Windows.Unfortunately it did not come out from CES due to conflicts between Google and Microsoft.But now Micromax came out with the same hybrid LapTab with ony Windows 8.1 Operating System which later can be upgradable to Windows 10.With this new hybrid launch Micromax is making its step into personal Computing segment.We already said about the launch of this device, read it here.

Vikas Jain, one of the founders of Micromax on the launch of this device stated that
We will launch five to six laptab models by March next year, which will more than 10-inches in screen size.We will move into pure laptops and pure personal computers overtime. We are thinking of manufacturing it in India.

The LapTab is actually a Tablet which will be converted into Laptop on attaching it with a portable keyboard.The LapTab is powered by Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.83 GHz with 2GB of RAM.It hosts a 10.1 inch IPS LCD touchscreen with WXGA resolution.LapTab also features a 3G SIM card slot for data connectivity and calling.It also comes with 2MP front and rear snapper for video calling.The LapTab comes bundled with Genuine Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Office 365.All these bundle are powered by a 7700mAh battery.

With the launch of Canvas LapTab Micromax makes it first move into the Computer market competing with the Acer, HP, Dell, Lenova and other which are now selling Laptops in Indian market.In the near future soon Laptops and Personal computers will be launched by the Indian firm Micromax.

Micromax is planning to launch this Laptab through amazon online store.It is priced at INR 14,990 which is more affordable price.More over the company is talking with other online partners and making a separate section in Offline stores for selling LapTabs.
