    Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Micromax Canvas Phones - OTA update rolling out for Canvas Xpress A99

    Largest Domestic Manufacture and India's no.1 manufacture of Mobiles Micromax has recently announced its Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Canvas device Xpress A99.This device was launched in December with Android Kitkat.



    As every other company was launching device with Android Lollipop and revealing new device with Lollipop every one was waiting for the update from the Indian manufacture but an unexpected surprise came today for Canvas Xpress users.The company rolled out OTA Lollipop update for the device.

    As a company spoke person said on the development,

    As a brand, we are committed to keep our customers delighted with best in class technologies and experience. Riding on the same thought, we are today rolling out the Android L update with Canvas Xpress, making the overall user experience more efficient and seamless.



    How to Update .? 

    To update your Micromax Canvas A99 connect your device to Internet using a 3G connection or using Wi-fi.You will get a notification about update if not proceed to setting > About Phone then tap on System Update.Thats all follow with the steps your device will be updated.

    Pre-Requisites :

    1. Plug in your device to charger,to avoid running out of battery during update process.
    2. Backup your messages and contacts.
    3. Free up around 500MB of space.

    Canvas Xpress A99 is a budget smartphone of equal price as Canvas A1 which is Android One device.Canvas A1 device will get update directly by Google and is expected to launch before this month end or by March first week.

    We were not sure about the update for other Canvas devices as this device is a budget device we can expect other devices  to get Lollipop update soon.

    Canvas Xpress was launched at a price of INR 6,999.This device is powered by MT6582 V/X Quadcore device with 1 GB RAM,8GB internal ,5MP camera ,0.3MP front camera with 3G ,dual SIM,Wi-Fi ,GPS ,Bluetooth.

      Maine apne handset ko root to kar liya hai but mai isme rom badana chahta hu aur sath hi is phone ko lolipop 5.0 ya marshmallow 6.0 me update karna chahta hu.
      Please suggest kare ki kaise karu.
