Micromax launches UHD 4K Smart Television at affordable price less than INR 50,000 - Television era starts

Micromax launched new LED TVs with Ultra HD 4K resolution with Android software at a very affordable price.The company on Thursday launched 2 new models with 42 inch (model number: 42C0050UHD) and 49 inch (model number: 50K2330UHD)

The 42 inch model will be coming with Android Jellybean 4.2 with 4K 3840 x 2160 resolution.For processing the TV has a dualcore CPU along with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 2.5GB internal storage and a MicroSD card slot.The Smart TV also offers 3 HDMI port (1MHL support), 3 USB port (2 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.0), Ethernet port, VGA connetor, Wi-Fi connectivtiy, AV input.Other features include DLNA, Screen mirroring (Miracast).


The ELED display panel offers 178 degree viewing angle in both horizontal and vertical so one can see the pictures without being faded from anywhere in the room. with 5000:1 contrast ratio and 60Hz motion rate.The TV offers Aspect ratio of 16:9 and response time of 6.5 ms.

The 42 inch version has a 8w x 2 speaker with SRS surround sound and 5 band equaliser.The speakers are placed at the bottom.

The power consumption of this model during runtime is 95w and during standby is less than 1w.The TV weighs about 13.7 kg.

Now talking about the 49 inch variant this model also offers same set of  features but one HDMI port is removed (contains 2 HDMI port) and an increased speaker watts that is with 12w x 2 speakers and a headphone jack (3.5mm) are present.Android version in this device is Android Kitkat 4.4

This TV is processed by a Dual core CPU and a Quad core GPU with 1GB of  DDR3 RAM.

The power consumption in 49 inch variant is 120w which is slightly higher than the other one but it is typically lower than other brands.It weighs about 16.5kg.

The 49 inch variant has a Golden metal frame with very thin  bezels of 0.78cm  and a glass back panel.

Both the TVs offer some pre installed apps and games such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Gmail and Games like Riptide, Turbofly, Speedx3d.Users can also access to Google Play store and can download enormous amount of apps and games.

Navigation will be via Smart Somato - Sensory remote control which also works as a Air mouse which makes the navigation around the smart TV easier and also acts as a controller for the pre installed games.

Commenting on the pricing the 42 inch variant  (model number: 42C0050UHD) is priced at INR 39,990 and the 49 inch  (model number: 50K2330UHD) is priced at INR 49,990.Micromax is launching these TVs officially by Flipkart.

Micromax is manufacturing its TVs in its own manufacturing unit in India.These TVs are not imported from China so only Micromax has made aggressive pricing on these models.
