Micromax Yu - New smartphone brand unvieled partnering with Cyanogen

All time rumours got an end with an official confirmation.Yes the cyanogen powered smartphones by micromax came real with a subsidary brand name Yu. The company has announced its partnership with Cyanogen (Official maker of CyanogenMod ROM).Yu is a 100% Subsidiary brand of micromax led by Yu Televentures.The Yu brand will target the Youths.

This Yu brand will be only available through Online stores.(Flipkart,Amazon,Snapdeal) as like Xiaomi,Moto and Asus did.This stragery has been made to cut off the prices.(Damn sure they will be very Cheap).This brand will not be available in local stores.The first Yu brand devices will be pushed out next month.

Rahul Sharma,one of the founder of Micromax stated that "We’re targeting all tech enthusiasts who will be able to bootstrap the device and play with it" 

The term bootstrap means rooting your mobile and making changes with ROM etc.This means that for a normal user if he roots his mobile the warranty of the mobile is void immediately but in terms of Yu brand its officially allowed by Micromax so the users can root and play with their devices their warranty will not void.Users can make hundreds of customisation to their devices which will be officially displayed in the Yu website which will be displayed in the end of this month.

Beside these smartphone the company also planned to launch Smart watch and smart Shirts (Sounds Cool..!!) within a year.

Lets wait and see if the companys next flagship Canvas 5 will be powered with Cyanogen.Since the Indian smartphone market is much disastered by the entry of Xiaomi,Micromax plans to heal with Cyanogen powered smartphones.
