Micromax Canvas Knight A350-Kitkat Update Released-Update using Sp Tools

Hi Everyone..!!A happy news..!!The Big Indian Company has released Kitkat update for the Canvas Knight A350 device which was released earlier with Android Jellybean 4.2.1.Now the updated rom is uploaded in Moulinsky which can be flashed through Sp Tools.Soon we could expect the Kitkat update for other devices.

The FOTA will be seeded soon or you can get your device to service center to get it updated...Wait..!! There is another possibility ..Yes we can itself update it to Kitkat.Go through the following steps to get it updated.

Needed :

• PC
• USB Datacable
• SP Flashtools
• Drivers

Important : 

You must have some Knowledge with Flashing.If anything wrong happens I am Not Responsible.There is a possibility of bricking your device but if you do it correctly nothing wrong happens.

Pre-Requisites :

1. Take a backup of your device.
2. Take a IMEI no Backup (For Safety) using Mobile uncle tool.
3. Charge your mobile atleast to 80%.
4. Proper power backup to your PC.

Procedure :

Install Drivers to your PC

Download the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat Firmware and Extract it to wherever you need.

Now go to your Mobile Settings and enable USB Debugging under Developer option.

Now open Sp Tools folder and run Sptools.exe as Administrator.

Click on Scatter Loading Option.

Sp Tools asks you location of scatter file select it from the Firmware folder which you have extracted.(MT6592_Android_Scatter_emmc.txt)

Now Switch Off Your Phone and connect using Datacable.

Now click on Download.

Wait for the Green ring to appear thats all you have successfully upgraded your device.

Using Mobile Uncle :

To take IMEI backup of your device using mobile uncle your device must be rooted download and open the app select IMEI backup\Restore and then select 1st option for taking backup in internal Storage 2nd option for taking backup in SD card. You must copy the backup in your PC.

Note : IMEI.BAK is your backup file.

Taking Backup :

Power off you phone goto recovery mode by pressing Vol - & + together with Power Key.Press home key you will get lot of options then select Backup user data.After that select Reboot device.

Note : In this Touch will not work ,press menu for Selecting and Volume keys for navigation.

This has been tested in Micromax Canvas Knight 2GHz Version.
